Bumming around
I am bummed. This year’s Tour has lost its appeal. Just like last year’s, but this time it actually happened during the Tour. Although Rasmussen didn’t actually get caught doping, he allegedly lied about his whereabouts. I don’t want to pass judgment before all details are clear, but no matter what happens, the Rabobank team has my deepest respect. I feel for the guys, especially Boogerd, who had the ride of his life as Rasmussen’s chief helper.
Last night, I couldn’t even watch the repeat broadcast. Luckily, there’s one show on television this season that can lift the spirit (see first YouTube below). The Sopranos might have ended, but good things keep on coming from HBO. I am especially intrigued by the whole HBO Voyeur project. It’s spooky.
Otherwise, Discovery Channel has my new favorite show (see second YouTube below). But it appears this show has pulled a Tour de France on its viewers as well.
