New design for main Web site
Finally I have uploaded my new Web site design. Already I am not completely satisfied. I like the design much better than the previous; however, I’d like to see some more variation with the images. This, of course, is quite easily done and does not need a major overhaul. A couple more tweaks are needed to optimize it for search engines and I’d like to incorporate the blog even more. I just couldn’t wait to upload it anymore. Now, I need to work on more copy, especially in the international section.
On another Web site note, I tallied the numbers of how many times my metrosexual essay has been downloaded and I am happy to report that it exceeds 2,000 in just one year. I won’t claim that 2,000 people have read it, but they have at least seen it. The article about the metrosexual’s supposed death has been downloaded almost 500 times.
I would love to reach more people and I’ll be thinking about new methods over the coming weeks. I believe the new design is a big step in the right direction, but as is the case with most electronics and computing, I will have to stay on top of things. More RSS integration? Podcasts? Flash?
