Thank you for the translation of the Japanese. It has been haunting me since I saw this production last night.

It also adds some context to the endless drinking of glasses of water among the women and children in the second act.

Apparently, the words spoken by the Japanese woman are “Water please, the children.”

I am so much looking forward to seeing this production at the Lyric in January!
