I’m not a guru, maven or ninja or whatever the cool kids go by these days. I simply bring solutions and get things done. Backed by 10 years of results converting online and offline, building infrastructures and laying groundwork, and creating, running, and finessing campaigns in a rapidly changing media environment.
As a consultant, advisor, and developer, I have worked with a wide variety of small businesses, nonprofits and cultural institutions on web development, social media and digital marketing.
I have spoken at national and international conferences including Opera America; Association Française des Orchestres in Paris; European Federation of National Youth Orchestras in Brussels; and a keynote address at the stART.10 conference in Duisburg, Germany. And I have been quoted in publications including International Arts Manager and Symphony Magazine.
I am currently retail marketing manager at NetSpend, where I plan and execute in-store and point of sale, as well as out of store programs focused on increasing card sales in retail partners including convenience, pharmacy, grocery and dollar stores.
Before joining NetSpend, I was senior marketing manager and CRM administrator at Charfen and performed a wide-ranging role as strategic marketing technologist. I managed all facets of marketing automation, CRM, web and e-commerce. Day-to-day I directed the infrastructure and operations that powered the company’s interactions with potential, new, and loyal customers, from inbound marketing and lead generation to post-purchase and retention opportunities.
Before that, I served as director of marketing for Austin Opera, one of Austin’s premier cultural institutions, where I implemented a new marketing, sales and digital strategy to increase the return of marketing dollars spent by 68%; grow subscription seats by 22%; and increase number of single tickets sold by 21%.
Other previous positions have included communications functions for Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I served on the board for Chorus Austin from 2011 to 2014.
I live just south of Austin, in Buda, Texas with my wife and two kids. When they’re asleep, I code for fun.
